Ervin Parker was born in Georgetown, South Carolina to parents Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Parker, Sr.  Mr. Parker is also the proud father of a son, Marcus Allen Parker.  He graduated from Choppee High School and later received a degree in industrial engineering from South Carolina State University.  

Mr. Parker was drafted by the NFL's Buffalo Bills as a linebacker.  He later played for the San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks.  

Since retiring from a very successful NFL career, Mr. Parker has become a successful entrepreneur.  He has worked as a Sports Agent for five years and worked as a talk show host with sports athletes

He promoted the first NBA Shawn Kemp All-Star Classic, the first professional football game played in Hong Kong in 1989, three professional boxing matches, and has developed athletic-related promotions to benefit both corporations and nonprofit organizations.  

In addition to his athletic endeavors, he has an impressive business portfolio.  He has worked successfully for many years as an investment consultant and is presently the founder and chairman of Blue Print Leadership Academy.


On October 15, 2004, Ervin was inducted into the South Carolina State University Athletic Hall of Fame, and was recognized during half time ceremonies of the S. C. State vs. Bethune-Cookman football game the following day. Click here for photos and newspaper article.

 


Local non-profit offers new scholarship opportunity

The Blue Print Leadership Academy and Paine College, Augusta, GA announce a new scholarship benefiting a young man or woman who will graduate high school in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee regions.

This scholarship will provide renewable funds to a deserving student with plans to attend Paine College in Augusta, GA.

Former college football teammates at South Carolina State University, Dr. George  Bradley, president of Paine College and Ervin "Blue Print" Parker are both interested in furthering the education of our young people.

''We want to reward students who show initiative through hard work, good grades and research that they understand the benefits of a college education and attendance at Paine College, says Parker, founder of the Blue Print Leadership Academy.

"Paine College is an excellent school that will give an strong educational foundation to a self-starter."

Founded. in 2001, the Blue Print Leadership Academy is a youth mentoring program based in Georgetown.

The program was conceived and founded by Parker, a retired National Football League player. Georgetown
is Mr. Parker's hometown.

He returned to start the Academy and to give back to his hometown.
